The Mobile Branding Gallery is a pilot project aimed at creating awareness among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in rural areas on the importance of innovative branding and packaging to meet global market needs.
The government has long recognised the need to educate SMEs and improve their branding and packaging methods to keep up with the times. The Mobile Branding Gallery is an extension of the Branding Innovation Centre — the result of a collaboration between SME Corp Malaysia and Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. It made its first appearance at the Juara Rakyat Satu Malaysia Programme in Umbai, Melaka and is scheduled to travel to 20 other locations in West Malaysia throughout 2010.
The Mobile Branding Gallery has been outfitted with displays of redesigned and repackaged local products. Trained staff onboard will demonstrate the benefits of using appropriate and attractive packaging, technology and materials to enhance a product, as well as conduct discussions and consult SME entrepreneurs on the many ways which they can improve their products and service.
